Project Description
South Fork School District 14 serves 301 K-12 students in central Illinois. Due to rising energy costs and Federal tax credits, the District sought a solar project to help offset energy budget concerns. In Spring 2024, Performance Services was selected through a competitive process to design and install a solar array that would relieve operation funds and help offset the uncertainty of energy costs. The project includes the installation of a 260kW solar array at the District’s athletic field complex. The site was selected for its high visibility to show the District’s commitment to green energy to reduce its energy footprint. The project began in Spring 2024 and was completed in Fall 2024. The project guarantees $42,620 in annual energy savings for 10 years.
