Project Description
In 2021, Rock Island-Milan School District 41 selected Performance Services to implement a large HVAC improvement project utilizing ESSER funding. The project will be completed in two phases and will impact eight district buildings. The first phase includes HVAC upgrades and air handling unit replacements at Frances Willard Elementary School, Denkmann Elementary School, Thurgood Marshall Learning Center, and Rock Island High School. The project’s second phase includes HVAC upgrades at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Edison Junior High School, Horace Mann Early Learning Center, Longfellow Elementary School, and the Center for Math and Science.
The district had more needs and proceeded to implement two more projects for a total of four phases of work. Phase three includes HVAC upgrades at Washington Junior High School, a dual-temp system implementation at Rock Island Academy, and a new chiller and pumps at Rock Island High School. The fourth phase includes HVAC upgrades to Eugene Field Elementary School, Ridgewood Elementary School, and Earl Hanson Elementary School. Total annual energy and operational savings for all phases is $3,907,846 over ten years.
