Project Description
The City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works issued a request for proposals for a guaranteed energy project in 2009. From a field of 12 competitors, Performance Services was ultimately selected to identify, design, and implement energy conservation measures in 15 buildings, including an integrated front-end control system and comprehensive energy retrofit at the City-County Building.
The Marion County Building Authority has overseen a number of energy-related improvements over the years, but nothing as comprehensive as this project, which utilized a holistic approach and included measurable results. The energy conservation initiatives will serve to demonstrate leadership in sustainable practices and help achieve the goal of substantial energy savings for Marion County taxpayers.
