Matt joined Performance Services in 2018 with 12 years of construction management and safety experience. Previously, he was employed with the Shiel Sexton Company. He began his career as a construction superintendent managing projects in the Indianapolis area. As a superintendent, Matt always had high expectations for safety and held contractors accountable for safe practices on his jobs. After one year at Shiel Sexton, he became a safety manager before moving into the corporate safety director position. Matt managed a team of safety managers that covered multiple states and an average of $300 million of construction on an annual basis. His team covered not only contractor safety but also an average of 350 employees. Matt is a certified safety instructor for OSHA 10 and 30-hour certifications, forklifts, CPR, first aid, boom and scissor lifts, and rigging/signal persons. Matt divides his time between program development, job site visits, and training.
Matt and his wife have been married for over 20 years and have two daughters. He is a coach for both his daughter’s softball teams during their seasons and serves as a board member for the Fishers Youth Sports program. He is also an active member and fundraiser for the Hands of Hope Non-Profit organization. Matt grew up in Indianapolis and enjoys golfing and camping in his spare time. He is also an avid Colts fan and is a season ticket holder.
