Leah comes to us from Miller-Eads Co., Inc. where she was employed for over 19 years. She held multiple roles at the company beginning with accounts receivable, then accounts payable but was always involved with project administration. As administrative roles became more singular in focus, her position as the administrative assistant to the Major Contracts and Key Accounts groups became her sole task. Working with these groups included job start-up, owner / GC contract review with follow-up of bond requests, certificates of insurance, and issuing Master Subcontract Agreements or purchase orders to subcontractors and pursing their bonding and insurance requirements. Other mid-project tasks included organizing private and public locates for self-performed excavations, permitting and licensing to name a few and project close-out. As the company came upon its 50th year of business, it celebrated by creating a “Year of Service” Committee for which Leah was the committee chair. She and committee members planned a year in which there were monthly community service projects. Leah also planned many company social events of all kinds including events for up to 400 people.
Leah has lived in the Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis for 25 years. She enjoys patronage to small, local businesses, cooking, reading, travel, and dabbling in photography. She has one child, her son Henry, who is 9 years old and in 4th grade. He keeps her busy running to and from friend’s houses and soccer practices and games. Leah is very involved with Henry’s school and volunteers her time to the parent-teacher organization. Another important aspect of Leah’s life is her large extended family from Ohio and her friends, some of whom she has had for over 30 years.
