Kim Davis is president of KIMANDCOMPANY Communications, an award-winning Public Relations, Governmental Relations, Media Relations and Business Development company based in Montgomery, AL. KCC has a strong background in communications with an emphasis on broadcast communications, video production, graphic design, digital and political media and special events planning.
KCC began in 1990 and evolved into governmental relations working in the areas of agriculture, energy, environment, health and telemedicine. KCC added business development and innovation focusing on economic development in smart city/town solutions for rural communities. KCC works with telemedicine innovations that provide healthcare access solutions in rural, deserving areas.
Kim’s career began in television as a news reporter, anchor, and program host/producer. She covered a variety of stories and interviewed many civil rights leaders, most notably Rosa Parks as host of a 30-minute public affairs program during her tenure at WSFA-TV in Montgomery, AL.
She was special events planner for the City of Selma during the 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights March. During the week-long event, KCC organized a special anniversary awards program that brought together, for the first time, the families of President Lyndon Johnson and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The celebration featured a historical video presentation that received the coveted Telly Award for Outstanding Commemorative Production.
Kim is an avid golfer. She helped found and organize the inaugural Our First Golf Tournament for HER, an all-female golf tournament to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research for a non-profit she co-founded, National Research Foundation for Cancer Disparities.
In addition, she serves on several boards, one most notably the Friends of Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site in historic Tuskegee, AL, where Kim grew up with children of the world-famous Tuskegee Airmen
