Jim joined the Performance Services team in 2024. He recently retired from the Glascock County School System in Gibson, GA after serving 33 years in public education. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia and began his career as an Agriculture teacher in 1991. Jim was promoted to Assistant Superintendent in 2000, assuming facilities and operations duties and supervising building projects for the district. Jim earned advanced degrees in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University and became the district superintendent in 2003, where he served the next 21 years, retiring in June of 2024 as the longest-tenured school superintendent currently serving in the state. He and his wife, Cindy, who is also a retired educator of 34 years, have three children, Elizabeth, Anna, and Nicholas and three grandchildren, Charlotte, Jane and Andrew. They look forward to spending time with family and traveling.
