Chad joined the Performance Services team in 2024. Dr. Chad Beasley’s 30-year career in education began in the Mount Airy City School district in 1994. During his tenure with Mount Airy City Schools, he served as a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director at Mount Airy High School, Assistant Principal at Mount Airy High School, and Principal of Jones Intermediate School. During his tenure with Stokes County Schools, he served as the Curriculum Director and Career and Education Director. In 2015, Dr. Beasley became Superintendent of Alleghany County Schools, where he served until his retirement in 2023.
Dr. Beasley received his undergraduate degree and his master’s degree from Appalachian State University. He received his Doctorate from Gardner-Webb University.
In 2015, he was inducted as a member of the Reich College of Education Rhododendron Society at Appalachian State University.
Chad is married to his wife, Mary Beth, a retired school administrator. They have two adult children, Marydith and Kathryn. Both children work in public education in North Carolina.
