Mazomanie, WI. Wisconsin Heights School District invites the community to celebrate the completion of its one-campus project on Friday, September 30, 2022. The event will commence at 4 PM with self-guided tours of the facility, followed by a short ceremony in the elementary gymnasium at 5 PM. Guided tours of the expansion and renovated K-12 campus will follow. A tailgate will precede the homecoming football game with concessions from the Gridiron Club.
Funding for the capital project was made possible by a community referendum on November 3, 2020. The one-campus project was preceded by a 2018 facilities study, enrollment study, and ongoing community engagement throughout 2020 to address critical infrastructure needs and accommodate current and future student enrollment growth.
“Our transition to a newly constructed elementary school, a renovated middle/high school, and a combined campus is truly remarkable for Wisconsin Heights. The educational process is a partnership involving students, parents, faculty, and the community. I believe that we have the shared value of wanting students in the Wisconsin Heights School District to enjoy an education that is second to none. The completion of this project is another demonstration of Vanguard Pride!”
The elementary school addition consists of an 80,000-square foot building addition, including new PK-5 classrooms, a gym, cafeteria, media center, student collaboration spaces, and administrative offices. The project also includes a new car drop-off loop and playgrounds for elementary students. In addition to the new elementary school addition, the middle and high schools received infrastructure, restrooms, and kitchen renovations.
