Montgomery, AL. The City of Montgomery is leading a groundbreaking initiative to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March of 1965 through an immersive metaverse experience. This innovative project aims to educate and engage audiences worldwide by bringing pivotal moments into the digital realm.
Beginning March 23, 2025, the project will feature virtual recreations of key events and locations from the 1965 march, allowing users to explore and interact with history in an unprecedented way.
In partnership with Performance Services and BizzTech, the City is leveraging cutting-edge technology to create a virtual experience that authentically represents this pivotal event. The project reflects Montgomery’s commitment to preserving history while using innovation to educate and inspire future generations.
