Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
School Finance Law
- Learn/possess a solid understanding of state-based school finance rules as it pertains to referenda
Community Engagement
- Attend Board Meetings
- Frequent Statewide travel to in person meetings
- Meet with school districts
- Attend survey meetings
- Plan materials for community conversations
- Prepare for community engagement workshops and presentations
- Build consensus among diverse groups
- Travel and attend check in meetings in person or via Zoom
- Design and facilitate Zoom based break out groups
Communication & Collaboration
- Write and review communication plan
- Review postcard edits
- Meet with Performance Services Business Development Managers, architects, and marketing team
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with clients and the internal team is an essential part of the role
- Draft key messaging for FAQs and parent flyers
- Finalize materials for publish
- Assist with press releases
- Strategic mindset
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
- Courage to diplomatically lead and provide strong guidance
- Create and manage campaign timeline
- Facilitate and document key messaging
- Review deliverables with team
- Draft key messaging for campaign collateral materials
- Work in collaboration with graphic designers
- Finalize materials for publishing
- Draft press releases
- Work in parallel with BDMs and project development architects and engineers
Planning & Scheduling
- Attend video production meetings and prepare video briefs; proof deliverables
- Prepare timeline for campaign in format presentable to board
- Prepare slides for public information sessions
- May assist with voter demographics, adding information about target audiences

Working Conditions
- Work hours vary based on workload, but should average 40-45 hours per
- Some overnight travel could be required
- Frequent travel by car throughout the state.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Background in public relations and some proven experience in a facilitation role
- Have experience with school finance laws and/or willing to learn
- Have an understanding of campaign timelines as they relate to referendums
