Project Description
After a successful phase 1 guaranteed energy savings project with the District, Baugo Community Schools selected Performance Services to complete a phase 2 project to increase energy savings. The project included four solar arrays across the district, three of which are solar carport arrays. Together, these arrays total 1 MW and produce enough energy to offset all electricity usage at Jimtown High Schools, the administration building, and the 1929 gym. In addition to the solar arrays, the project included new parking lots to support the solar canopies. This is the largest solar carport installation for a K-12 school district in the state of Indiana.
