Cal joined the Performance Services team in 2021. Originally from Kalamazoo, MI, he graduated from Butler University and IUPUI in a dual degree program in May 2021. He received a Computer Science degree from Butler University and an Energy Engineering degree from IUPUI. At school, Cal learned to code in Python, Java, C+, and some HTML. He also learned how to use Simulink, MATLAB, and design using CAD. During that time, Cal also worked with the IUPUI Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) as a student engineer. At the IAC, Cal conducted energy audits for large manufacturing companies around the Indianapolis area and wrote reports on the energy-saving opportunities from those audits.
Outside of work, Cal loves watching and playing sports. His favorite teams are all in the Detroit area (especially the University of Michigan athletics). He also loves to swim, run, hike, and watch movies.
