Rumbidzai Kawadza Earns Indiana Architectural Licensure

Indianapolis, IN. Performance Services is proud to announce that Rumbidzai Kawadza, AIA, NCARB, has officially earned her architectural license in Indiana and is now National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certified. This marks a significant professional milestone and a powerful continuation of her international career in architecture.

Already a licensed architect in Zimbabwe, Rumbi brought extensive experience working on banks, educational institutions, and government buildings before relocating to the United States. Motivated by a commitment to continued learning and growth, she undertook the rigorous US licensure process—and completed it in an impressive nine months. Her achievement is particularly noteworthy as the first Zimbabwean architect to become NCARB certified through the Foreign Architect Program!

“This is more than a credential—it’s a personal and professional affirmation,” said Rumbi. “Becoming licensed in the US allows me to contribute more fully to the profession I love, while building on the foundation I began in Zimbabwe. I’m grateful to everyone who supported me along the way.”

Terry Brown, AIA, Director of Design-Build at Performance Services, acknowledged the milestone. “This is an exciting achievement for Rumbi. We’re proud of her dedication and the way she applies her skills and experiences to the practice of architecture. Her journey reflects the values we strive for—excellence, perseverance, and lifelong learning.”

Rumbi is now licensed in Indiana and recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), joining a growing number of Performance Services professionals committed to design excellence and community impact.
