Project Description

Boonville R-1 School District is located in central Missouri with five schools that serve approximately 1,600 students. As part of an interior renovation, the District needed to upgrade the HVAC system plant equipment at LSE Middle School. The unit was failing and severely undersized, which impacted performance and efficiency, in addition to operating costs. The District also chose to upgrade to LED at Boonville High School to improve the lighting system performance, increase energy efficiency, and lower operating and maintenance costs. In 2020, Performance Services was selected to complete a preliminary for the District and subsequently implement a guaranteed energy savings project. The project’s first phase was so successful that it led to additional phases of work to continue improvements to modernize and improve the HVAC systems and learning environments at other schools. Annual energy and operational/capital cost avoidance savings for all phases will be $353,207. Additionally, Performance Services helped secure $71,360 in rebates for the client. We also performed a district wide facilities assessment and long range planning study.
